Pretty, funky, stylish skateboards

February 26th, 2008 · No Comments

While I know that there are a lot of ultra modern skateboards out there, there really are times when you just want to “reminisce” and remember those good ol’ days when the funky, stylish designs for skateboards piqued the interest of skateboarders everywhere.

Even though those skateboards of before didn’t have the high tech features such as motorized capabilities, GPRS and yep,

even wi-fi (wireless fidelity — can you imagine this one? Who would ever think that skateboards of today can even have wi-fi?!) as those of today, they proved to be every skater’s bestfriend and ultimate pride and joy. Here are some that I recently found on the Internet (thank goodness they’re still around and are even on sale!):

The Element Brent Atchley Skateboard.

Looks pretty old school but I just like the details in this one. I like the custom artwork, the silver pro trucks and silver wheels, the pretty good grip tape and fast bearings.

The latest one I found is being sold for a good price - $140.00 (US).

Another skateboard that I like is the Layback Aloha 36 inch skateboard.

The manufacturer says their products are completed via factory assemble. That’s one of the good things about Layback skateboards - they’re skateboards that you can use directly out of the box.

I also like the wheels on this one, the bearings as well as the grip tape — and of course, the pretty attractive design.

I’m sure the girl skateboarders/skating aficionados out there would definitely not mind bringing this one along!
