Pretty, funky, stylish skateboards

February 26th, 2008 · No Comments

While I know that there are a lot of ultra modern skateboards out there, there really are times when you just want to “reminisce” and remember those good ol’ days when the funky, stylish designs for skateboards piqued the interest of skateboarders everywhere.
Even though those skateboards of before didn’t have the high tech features such […]

The Skater’s Checklist for 2008

December 31st, 2007 · No Comments

As the new year draws in (just a few hours away now!)…I’m really curious as to what you, fellow skater, plan to do or plan to accomplish for next year.
You know, something that has to do with our favorite sport, of course.
Here’s my own version of a skater’s checklist for 2008:
- do you plan […]

Gear up for the holidays!

December 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

It’s almost Christmas!
WHAT SKATING STUFF DID YOU GET FOR YOURSELF THIS YEAR?
People are buying skateboards, getting new graphics and/or design and some are wishing they could meet Tony Hawk or some other professional skater who could sign their boards in front of them.
As for me (and this is wishful thinking, sadly), I found this baby […]

Did you say blocked skateboard noises?

December 20th, 2007 · No Comments

I’m not kidding…and apparently the manufacturers aren’t as well.
A company called Soundguard recently introduced their so-called soundproofing curtain which has the capacity to “block” skateboard noise at Sydney’s Olympic park.
I guess Soundguard’s heeding to the call of those who just can’t stand the noise that aggressive skateboarders make. At least this won’t totally dishearten pro […]

How radical should a skater get?

December 19th, 2007 · No Comments

Fine, let’s admit it. Most skaters buy their skateboards because of the following reasons:
- because when they practice their skateboarding skills, they look good while doing so
- because their skateboards look well-used, well-practiced on, eye candy either for their guy pals or can serve as “chick magnets”
- because their skateboards can allow them to show […]

Online or offline?

December 15th, 2007 · No Comments

I want to know - in today’s world when just about anything and everything’s sold online, do you still think that retailers should boldly continue with their businesses offline? Do you think they should still continue to be aggressive with their campaigns offline or should they instead focus on their campaigns in the Internet?
These thoughts […]

Zip zappin’

December 12th, 2007 · No Comments

All right, is it just me or has skating really become fancier by the second? Here’s proof: Zap Powerski.
Yes, I know the model’s pretty but that’s just the icing on the cake, buddy. The real score lies on that “thing” she’s holding.
According to the manufacturers of Zap Powerski, this “thing” is:
Turning every road into […]

Cool or uncool?

December 7th, 2007 · No Comments

Is sitting down on a skateboard already acceptable? Will you buy a sit-down skateboard? Will it be worth it?
Or will it just take the fun out of the whole sport?
Just look at this so-called “Body-Cart“.
“It is an ergonomically designed, motorised, three-wheeled full-body skateboard capable of covering 70km on a single tank of fuel at speeds […]

Will motorboards reign soon?

December 7th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Do you think motorboards will reign very soon and skateboards will just be a thing of the past?
This thought came to me when I read all about this new so-called “MotorBoard 2000XR: next generation electric scooter” article. I personally think that skateboards will still be around, of course, but with all these new developments […]
