All right, let’s get down to business. Before anything else, I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say that this type of entry may very well be the very first in Skaters.com history! Hence, because this one’s groundbreaking (ahem), then perhaps you guys can at least be more forgiving when I say that this […]

Opinion poll: should you be 15 at least or not?
January 29th, 2008 · No Comments
The news about skaters required to be at least fifteen (15) years old before they can “formally” compete is getting the ire of a lot of bloggers, especially those who are very passionate about the issue. Can’t blame them, though…I mean take the case of Mirai Nagasu, for instance. Nagasu’s the new champion of U.S. […]

As the new year draws in (just a few hours away now!)…I’m really curious as to what you, fellow skater, plan to do or plan to accomplish for next year.

Did you say blocked skateboard noises?
December 20th, 2007 · No Comments
I’m not kidding…and apparently the manufacturers aren’t as well.
A company called Soundguard recently introduced their so-called soundproofing curtain which has the capacity to “block” skateboard noise at Sydney’s Olympic park.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has held discussions with cycling’s world governing body to discuss the introduction of a skateboarding event in 2012, but the inclusion is unlikely, sources tell Around the Rings.
